NYLT DETAILS & FACTS
What Is

LEADERSHIP
TRAINING?
Nevada Area Council National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a six-day outdoor experience in support of the Scoutmaster’s responsibility for the training of his youth leaders. The training uses the patrol method within the standard troop structure. Leadership changes daily to give every Scout a chance to serve as a patrol leader or an assistant patrol leader. Each Scout will write a vision statement in which they will plan the use of his newly acquired leadership skills in his home unit. The training was developed by the B.S.A., National Council. NYLT is the most advanced leadership training offered to Youth Leaders at the council level.
