What it is
The Camp Card program is a fundraising opportunity where Scouts sell a high quality discount card with local businesses offerings to the general populace. Cards will be sold between March and April 2015 at $5.00 each where Scouts keep a 50% commission per card sold. The Council will be providing five version of the Camp Card with custom offerings for Reno/Sparks, Carson City, Susanville, Fernley, and Elko.
Why is it important
The Camp Card program is important because it provides resources to families who want their Scouts to addend day or weeklong summer camp. Scouts are given the opportunity to learn important life lessons of self-reliance, planning, goal setting, and hard work as they earn their own way to camp and internalize the value of always “Be[ing] Prepared.”
How to participate
Participation in the program is easy. Simply fill out our online form to indicate your unit’s desire to participate and look forward to more information in the coming months via email and at Roundtable. Paper versions of the form are also available at the Scout office and at Roundtable meetings.
