Explorer Post Happenings

Post 600, The Loyalton Fire Department, visited Loyalton High School at lunchtime for a recruitment visit. The post is led by Dave Morrison, a volunteer fire-fighter, who has re-built the program. Loyalton Explorers have played a major role in managing controlled burns in the area, as well as putting out live structure fires.

Post 600

Post 109, Carson City Sheriff Explorers, had a pinning ceremony last week to honor newly elected Explorer Sergeant, Crystal Sandoval, and promote new lieutenants. Sheriff Kenneth Furlong plays a major role in the program and works closely with the youth. The Carson City Sheriff Explorers assist with everything from traffic control, community events and even participate in ride-alongs.
